Day 16: Lunch in school (Rice Cake Soup) + Traditional Games + learning about Korean Culture (Making paper Hanbok)

It's New Year! And my 2 teachers are not able to be back at home and celebrate with their family. :( But today was a whole day of fun! ^.^

Rice Cake Soup at school! It is delivered to us just like how I saw it on Korean variety shows especially Running Man! Seems popular among Koreans when it comes to this kind of delivery. We even cheered when the food came! haha. Seaweed, dumplings, rice cake and egg! Quite nice but very filling.

 January Birthday Babies! :)

Group photo with January babies! :)

After that is traditional games time!

Shuttlecock or to us known as chap teh! Theirs have a bell at the bottom and weight. Slightly heavier than the feathery one that Singapore use.

Just like how we played chap teh, we have to kick it continuously without dropping it on the floor. It is a team game. So we had to play in a circle and kick to the next person without dropping it onto the floor. My team won for this one with 5 kicks thanks to Daniel for his solo kick and not passing to any of us (me, Wen Lin and Samantha). haha!

2nd game - Ddakji!! Saw this on Running Man so was super happy to finally try playing this!! ^.^

First we had to fold the ddakji. As everyone will have the exact same kind, decided to do some decorations. So wrote my favorite Monday Couple Jihyo and Gary name on it!! And not forgetting...

Adding the big 'R'!! Making it look like it is a Running Man mission! haha.

It really isn't as easy as it look like on Running Man. Needed to use a lot of strength and of course hitting the center. But it is super hard to hit directly at the center and so ended up not hitting the other person ddakji at all! But it is really fun and exciting! When you manage to flip the other ddakji, you can keep it. I managed to flip only once. hehe.

3rd game- Five Stones!

Also a game that I saw on Running Man. Like the normal five stones we play, we have to throw one in the air and pick one and catch the one in the air and continue as per normal until going to level 5. But not like what Singaporeans play whereby it is made my sewing green beans into cloth, theirs is plastic. And it is super difficult to play because it is plastic and when it hits onto the hand or the other stone, it will bounce away.

So the 3 traditional games that we played for the first half. Super happy since all 3 are seen on Running Man and I finally managed to try it! It's really not easy so the next time I see Kwang Soo not doing well in any of this I won't blame him anymore. haha..

Next is making Hanbok with the traditional Korean paper! Taught step by step by my teacher! Really nice to do it. Especially when I really love origami a lot! :)

The pretty Hanbok I folded! :)

The whole 21 of our Hanbok and 4 behind folded by my teacher! :)

Us and our Hanbok!

Board game time! Also seen on variety shows before. But not that often.

Really a fun day in school! ^.^ After that, went to eat dinner near school.

Bread!! :)

Mushroom Pizza!

Really awesome! So long since I last ate pizza! Love it a lot!

Back in the dorm! :)
